Everytime I get onto this forum this weekend I get more upset.
And yeah, I admit it, I am a big fat fail. If I had paid better attention to my finances, I'd have been able to go.
But I didn't. And I'm suffering the consequences.
is that steves coupe on volk te37s? omg he never fails to amaze me!

Those coupes are hottttt! (And yes they deserve all five of those Ts)
I'm glad I made it out. Not a big turnout but glad to see the few that came out and some who took the long drive to get here. Loved all the rides that came

Alright Alright i know everyone is shy so i will just tell the story
Thursday: Everyone gets into hotels, takes naps, etc. Dennis couldn't make it, we decided not to go to the track
Friday: Dennis gets to town, we spend half the day swappin wheels and working on that damn Saturn that we drove (STILL is making that horrible noise btw). We then find a drag strip to go to. To avoid spousal reprocutions, myself and johnathan (My friend that i brough) skipped the dragstrip and got dragged to the mall. I text steve to find out how his run went.
Steve: Ya. My car on a flatbed
Turns out the ghetto dragstrip they wound up going to did not have a FWD burnout box. Steve literally sheared off the end of his axle.
Saturday: 8am - 8:35 Steve pulls out his axle (super quick i thought) He scours the city of raleigh looking for an axle with Dennis, who promptly breaks a balljoint. While he, rob and steve work to remove his hub, Luke and i run to the honda dealership with steves girlfriend to get MTF, and get MAD TYTE JDM honda hats for 6 bucks!! Luke and i go shopping finally to get groceries for the BBQ, which we finally started cooking for at around 2
All in all, I was VERY dissapointed in the turnout. Don't get me wrong, we had an absolute BLAST! Made great friends (although we did that last year too LOL) and had a lot of fun. As Steve put it, it turned into a lot of work with a bit of fun, but we made up for it i think. I feel like my 20 hours of driving was worth it![]()
let me interject too the WB Ulmstead park is huge, as was mentioned here in a few places, yet me with no mobile internet device didn't scan the details before planning the trip I didn't really plan, went in the wrong side thanks to Garmin GPS and rode around almost another hour trying to find a Honda meet.I saw a few modified Hondas scattered there and on the Ebenezer Church rd leading around to the other side, that may have been looking for the meet but I never saw any of them land.
It was great all the same, I learned a new way not to cook on the grill. Ive never seen such a waste of aluminum before. LMAO
Seeing some of the most innovative projects on the board in person was cool.
wait a sec.. mall vs track after a 10 hour drive to a car meet... what the lol
20 hours each way lol. the gf and wife were already at the mall, told us to just go, but it was already seven with a forty five min drive to the strip. they had no car and the mall closed at nine. we would have been there for about 30 minutes before the hateful phone calls would have started lol. yea everyone now knows to not let me grill lmao
the braking stuff was supposed to be a secret there Adam. Sheeesh.
LOL Dennis we made it back a bit later and i didn't want to text you then. For what ever reason we always miss out turn to travel outside NYC but we hit the GW fortunately we ripped through a Jersey barrier cut out and saved many hours. Was nice to get to hang out even though my trip was multi purposed.
well I have to come clean as well.
I HAD an alterior motive on attending the meet as well.
I needed someone to change a ball joint for me.![]()
