agreed on the car not being worth that much, but something is truly worth what another will pay for it.
cars sell out here with rust for 1-2k more than they do in arizona where you would be the most unlucky person on earth to get rust or just extremely neglectful.
as for sticking with honda, they've proven their reliability in my opinion. my dad had an 85 accord, then we had a 91 civic, then we had my 88 accord, then we had a 2005 civic vp, then we had a 2008 honda element, then when i got married we had a 95 civic hatch and my 90 rex, then a 90 sedan, and a 2008 fit. not a single one of these have i had a problem that wasn't easy to fix. hell the 95 hatch got a new motor for 180 bucks that comp tested 180 across the board.
really it comes down to prefering the design and having experience with the cars. if you don't know anything about the cars and are going to pay people for repairs honda's are still ideal as the repairs are not that expensive. i guess i'm just a fanboy or something. i've said it before and i'll say it again, i'm not going to drive anything other than a honda EVER.

Wow, and i saw some in the states on some website up for 2 to 4k. How much would you guys pay? heh.
That piece was rusted, which is why I took it off so it wouldn't keep (yes, keep) spreading onto the body. If I lift the trunk, there's a little but that's gone over. There is NO other rust on the car.
That's plenty of reason for me to go out and buy a Honda, but there's bound to be people in your same situation with Toyota's or Nissan's or whatever.
