    Re: Charlie's official update thread

BMW is most likely out, so I'm going to keep the coupe for a while and do what I initially intended to with my first car.

Anyone know how to fix the bumper sag (or know if it's possible)? I can't find any threads on the matter.

Lighting fail, I know. They were taken with my phone (which has a really weird size ratio?).

Front bumper: All the way across, under side markers/eyelids/hood trim.
Rear bumper: Side gap. You can't tell from the back because the trim piece isn't there.

    Re: Charlie's official update thread

front bumper i would just take it off then put it back on and when u tighten the bolts make sure you hold the bumper up high with your legs normaly what i do.

as for the rear the sides look pretty messed up not sure how to fix that but the 4g has the same problem and ive tried a dozen times with no luck

and get that filler piece and your car will look 100x times better lol even if its from a diffrent color just paint it black for now or get a can of body matched paint

    Re: Charlie's official update thread

^ I love coupes, but prefer sedans. Convenience.

So, just washed it. Dude sold the Bimmer to his brother this morning without calling me or anything. Almost sold my car. I think I've officially decided to keep it and do what I want with it (see wanted thread).

I need help finding threads on removing the front and rear bumpers. All of the threads I find are either shit or don't work.

    Re: Charlie's official update thread

    there simple as

theres like 2 bolts behind the bumper light and fog cover on each side, and 4 little philps screws on each side of the bumper(2 on each side). then it just slides off lol

    as for rear

4 big bolts where the rear tow hooks are (2 on each side) just unbolt them and theres 4 little philpes screws on that too (2 on each side)

theres pics on all of this in the pdf manual good sir lol.

    Re: Charlie's official update thread

That looks good for the front, but on the rear: I have three bolts on the bottom of the lip. Where would I find the PDF manual?

    Re: Charlie's official update thread

Okay, so, I got the two screws in the blinkers and the two 10mm's behind them (one on each side). Got the two screws on the ends of the bumper. Won't budge. I think I need to make a video to show my problem.

    Re: Charlie's official update thread

didnt need to take the top ones off along it, but the 2 12mm or 14mm behind the bumper lights need to come out . then u need to kinda flex the sides of the bumper off the brackets where the 2 philpes scerws are on each side

    Re: Charlie's official update thread

Okay, I got the bumper off. Almost all of the holes where a bolt or screw would go into are broken, and I confirmed that my car was in an accident.

[Leak is water: I have a hole in my windshield washer fluid container.]

    Re: Charlie's official update thread

So, I got all of the necessary screws/bolts/clips to put my bumper on [correctly and flush], and I replaced the box in the window, so both windows are good and fast.

Can you see the black area around the radiator? All of that metal was damaged and had to be realigned.

    Re: Charlie's official update thread

It was so stained, but I used stuff to clean it up. 10 year old soda is gross.

    Anyway:

OH MY GOD, I'm sick of my friends' bitching!

    Charlie, get a passenger mirror.
    Charlie, get a sedan.
    Charlie, get cup holders.
    Charlie, get power locks.

    Passenger, get the fuck out!

    /rant

I have a passenger side mirror now, by the way.
