1988 Honda Accord LX-i Coupe 123k miles.
Near future prospects:
LX-i sawblades (the other ones)
Dave's old suspension setup from Mike
new tires + balancing + alignment (for under $100!)
possible paint/body work
start of black interior swap (the red is getting to me)
Freshly washed after over a month, plus snow and salt.

FTW! When are you going to paint up the trim on those bumpers? Hmm?
I think they make paint just for painting faded trim on bumpers. Usually it's "trim and bumper paint" but if you prep and clean it right you could pretty much use any dark gray rattle can paint. Just pull that bumper off, mask it, and give something a try. You can always redo it again if you don't like the results.
i thought the hair dryer would fix that as well?
Picked up a lip or valance or whatever from an '88 Teg. 9.9/10 (seal is there, but split in half; minimal damage to lip itself) -$10
I'm waiting for the bolts and clips to soak in CLR so they look better. Discoloration in the picture is from me just cleaning it - not fully dry.

I have that lip on my car

I can't find the thread on how to install it. |D
Its not hard to install charlie just follow along the bumper...there should be holes at the bottom...
But one question: did you make sure it would fit the car's bumper?
Yes, mine fits; the holes just don't line up. I already knew it would fit, which is why I got it.
Hmmm I'm surprised it fit cause I had to cut mine for it to fit....and as for the holes make new ones on the lip and should be easy as pie.
Where did you cut yours? Mine fits perfectly...
Yeah, and I have to get spacers because it sits too high.
Down the middle so it could reach the ends on side and in the front corners
I wish I had a lip like that :@
Yup I'm sure but aren't sedan and coupe bumpers the same for the 88-89?
Yeah, haha. I'm going to take my bumper off anyway because I forgot a clip when I re-installed it.
The life of my Accord:
6:45pm on Friday, December 31st, 2010, in Federal Way, Washington
- Next to my aunt's amazing '04 Audi A4 1.8t cabriolet
3:58pm on Saturday, January 1st, 2011, on Mount Ranier (Sunshine), Washington
- beastsnowcarmode:[on]off (haha, my car could make it up the mountain but my brother's '04 Silverado couldn't); one chain: unfortunately, the right side came loose and fucked up the paint around my fender
2:04pm on Sunday, January 2nd, 2011, at my sister's house in Graham, WA
- this was after three trips up and down the mountain, seven people in my car (at once), soup and cocoa spilled on the interior and snow, dirt and coffee on the interior, and everyone's crap in the trunk; it's a whole lot dirtier than it looks
4:07pm on Sunday, January 2nd, 2011, at home in the sunshine...kinda
Happy New Year's!
Next step: suspension!
