Tomissimo's B20A doesn't have an electronic advance distributor either.

I guess EGR wasn't required in some Euro countries.

Ah, well the B20A2 doesn't have emissions stuff. Mine does however (B20A8).
So yeah you're right, an EDM thing... Depends on the local emissions laws of the country at the time.

you can use A20a3 Wiring on that Goldtop, its completely the same. the B20a8 have few extra wires, but also the same, plugs are the same as well.

so pretty much the only thing you need is the back mount, tranny, and that's about it?
