Haha "American HiFi!" I don't think they even sell that brand here. That does look EXACTLY like some of the decks that Sony was selling for a while. I put one in my Dad's Civic. Except the CD slot wasn't blocked off.

Sucks about the overheaty motor. The new one sounds like it will be a bit better anyways!

just spend this morning de looming the civic loom to make a stand alone pgm-fi loom for the crx which i will tuck the wires into their factory locations with the carb car loom.

    Re: AccordB20A's 1g CRX thread

okay righto what i did next was hook up the fuel lines and pump and filter, since the car used to be carbed and i didnt swap the fuel tank and lines im going to use the carb ones and mount the efi pump in the engine bay, so i did that and test started the engine with the wiring just hanging out in the engine bay

and when i eventually got the timing right it fired up, no error codes but ran rich as fuck and idled like a ported rotary bap bap bap..

i was like thats good enough for me then i did the hard job, Tucking the wires into their factory locations up under the dash and through the firewall etc...

    Re: AccordB20A's 1g CRX thread

Next it was time to hook up the remaining water lines for the radiator fill it with water and slap on the front end, the pre facelift popup light header panels fucked so i decided to install the facelift front that came with the car, i had to uglyfy the bumper to make the lights fit, but here it is

so it starts and drives, no error codes but it runs like complete ass, dont know why it pours out black smoke out the back. im going to look into it tomorrow, swap out the dizzy and injectors and ecu with my mates spares and see if i can fix the issue
