i think my auto trans might be failing cuz when im driving 55 it acts like it dont know what gear it wants it will shift from 3rd to 4th back and fourth idk whats wrong i fig trans it about shot

first check your tranny fluid if you havent then check your TV cable adjustment.

^^^ that about sums it up. Your tranny isn't toast until it starts slipping. Until then, keep after it with good maintenance and proper adjustment. These autos seem to be very long-lived, so don't despair.

i r also has this problem, turned out something to do with the trans control unit locking the torque converter

As with any trans problem, suspect sticking valves and treat with three changes of fluid, driving around after each.

I was going to say, it's probably not 3rd/4th it's probably 4th/OD.

yeah check your cable and try to adjust it....also these trannys like honda fluid...my shifted smooth after i put some atf from honda
