    Question Noisy Speedodometer

I have a 1988 accord lx automatic transmission.

There is a squeeling noise seems like the speedometer, the faster you go the faster the squeek!
Can't find if and where the speedometer cable is and if so where is it?
    Any help would be appreciated!

    Thanks

I would recommend Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox: They have active spell-checking.

You'll either need to lube the inner cable or just replace the whole cable assembly. It's not very expensive and moderately easy to do. Mine was noisy on cold days for quite a while. Lubing it only worked a couple of times. I would recommend just replacing.

Mine is doing the same thing, waiting for it to snap so I can buy a new one.

You could try a clean and lube of the speedo cable. Access from the transmission end and pull out the cable, clean, oil, repeat, etc... It will take a few times to get any oil up to the speedo. Worked on mine, has been quiet for 5 years. No cost 15 minute job, it is worth a try.
