    Question oil light flashing

    Does anyone know what would make the oil light flash after a quick stop.when i shut it off and restarted it light was off and stayed off.could this be the sensor sticking after oil pump not getting oil because off quick stop.

    Its a low oil pressure warning. Basically, your car thinks your low on oil because you stopped so fast that the oil was sloshing around, and it didnt get to the pickup tube. Did you check your oil level?

    Going to do that tomorrow,its to dark out.I know i have a little leak in the pan but nothing serious.

    Yeah it was down about a litre .I patched the pan last fall but i think thats the leak.
