I have a precision turbo I bought many moons ago. The exhaust housing is cast and has the precision turbo logo on it. This is the end of the identifying markings from what i can tell as a non turbo noob. Ive been to precisions website on how to identify and mine (from what I can tell) doesnt have the markings they say should be there.
To remedy this I pulled the cold side and measured the trim. i took the small inducer (54) and the largest inducer (76) and got a 50 trim compressor, is this correct? The cold side where the T-clamp goes has 32 engraved into it but the wheel suggests a SC50e?
I was told it has a stage 3 wheel and yes it has race bearings. Im still pulling it apart to find more markings some place. The cold side housing has a .63 cast into it as well near the outlet Im guessing because they sell it in a 48 or 63 design. it is the SC type because of the Ford T3 style 5 bolt flange.
I have read all the hot sides are the same and its just the cold side that determines whether you have a SC50, SC32, SC34, Scwhatever? Thanks for the help. Im hoping the vast mind power on the site can help me becuase there too many civic owners taughting wrong information according the manufacture websites. Oh yeah pics are on my pjhotobucket account
