    oil light flashing

Ok so today was warm enough to put an alt on the SEI,I charged up the batt and started her up.Started right up,first time since the fall.So I had It running for about 10-15 minutes and the oil light started flashing. So i shut it off and checked the oil and it seemed ok.Any Idea why this happened ,never did this in the fall.Could it be from sitting all winter and the oil is just thick.

    Re: oil light flashing

the oil light flashing means the oil pressure switch detected a brief drop in pressure you may have not noticed. if the pressure drops down to nothing and stays the light will stay on. I still haven't figured out where the control is. I think it's in the same unit as the corner marker control unit. This is why I like a mechanical gauge. you would have seen the dip in pressure. I would change the filter and oil if it's sat.
