-DWM- 1989 CA6 Coupe! Resto-Mod!

Hey 3Geez! I am finally starting my build thread (Foundation Membership Purchased!) I started taking my famous (?) Komatsu Teal Accord apart on Saturday.

The goal for my project? Make a nice car. The engine will be getting a stock rebuild, and some bolt-ons, OBD-1 Conversion. Expect a wire tuck, and a nice interior, smooth bodywork, and Adriatic Blue. Also expect: Nice stance and nice (Rota, until I can afford real ones) wheels. Onward with the photos!!!

Here is what I'm starting with! 1989 Accord Coupe LX-i


Here is all the rust that needs repair!


Let the TOTAL DESTRUCTION (Careful disassembly and organization) begin! So far we have stripped the interior save the carpet.

Thanks for all the good words and subscriptions everyone! I appreciate it. This is the first time I've done something like this and it is a bit intimidating, but I should be OK. Everything you see above was done in about 4 hours. The bodywork will take forever though.

Got some more work done last night but neglected to take pictures. Nothing exciting, just got all the junk off the driver's side door (mirror, window reg, seatbelt, etc.). This car is made of lots of small parts lol
I need to get this stuff organized and write some notes before I get in over my head....

Yeah I got an update. On hiatus for a couple weeks while my garage is getting rennovated.

A rough outline of my plans are in the first post, MessyHonda. I plan on doing a few things that haven't been seen much here, though.

UPDATE! Got to work all day today. Here's what I did:

-Organized all the stuff I took out
-Removed all the HVAC stuff from the cockpit
-Vacuum'd and removed the carpet
-Removed the steering column and pedal assembly
-Removed firewall insulation
-Removed front bumper, fenders, and fender liners, and began pulling out the wiring harnesses.
-Cleaned up my mess and put away the tools for the night.

I have pics to post, as soon as I host them.

Got some more work done tonight, getting the engine ready to pull out on Saturday I'm not gonna bother with pics until there's something more significant.
