Poly Rear LCA bushings - do they fit?

So I'm looking to order some poly bushings, I have most of it worked out but on the LCA kit (prothane part number 8-312) I've found people saying they both fit and don't.

Is there someone who could confirm it one way or another? I'm looking for comments form people who have actually had the bushings in hand and either installed them or failed to do so.

Also if there are any other poly bushings than these that I should get? Nothing more listed for the 3g, but if something from another car fits (I know there are threads on this, but again a lot of conflicting info in those)

    Shopping list right now:
Front lower shock bushing kit, 8-907
Front Strut Rod Bushing Kit, 8-1201
Front Sway Bar End Link Bushing Kit, 8-401
    (Rear LCAs if they fit)

I already have the front LCA bushings.

I have read all the posts I could find on the subject. As I said in my first post, I don't find those threads all too conclusive. Someone says they fit and someone says they don't.

They do not fit. They fit in other locations, but not the rear LCAs

again i didn't say to read the threads, i said to read what lx-incredible has said, not what others have said in his threads or what others have said in threads that he's responded in. ONLY what he has said on the subject. which is what 2dr just reclarified for you. hope that helps.

https://www.3geez.com/forum/showthread.php?t=65258 Read the whole thread carefully.

I put most of them on a document to save but I may have missed one so read.

    Prothane

    front strut rod kit 8-1201
    front end link kit 8-401
front lower control arm bushing kit 8-210
front lower shock bushing kit 8-907
rear lower shock bushing kit(also fits the front upper 8-904
    strut mount)
rear lower control arm bushing(88-00 civic 8-307 also requires 90-97 accord kit for the inner sleves) 8-312

    Energy Suspension

sway bar mount kit( requires a little grinding) 9-5126
    shifter bushings 16-1101

Also Haunted ca3 can get upper front control arm poly bushings.

    Hope this helps a little.

Re: Poly Rear LCA bushings - do they fit?

As I said I have read that thread.

What I really wanted was to hear from people who actually have installed them or tried to, but since no one's really chiming in I'll have to go by LX-incredibles posts as it seems those should be the most accurate.

    Anyways, thanks for the reply's.

So I'll just order the rest but leave the rear LCAs.

The rear LCA bushings don't fit. Was it like the $80 kit?

yeah the off the shelf kit that they sell wont fit but LX_incredible posted another part # so I am going to give it a try. It seems to work in his car and I want a poly in mine so why not.

yeah lx-incredible has tried literally every part that looks close, we've spent countless hours looking at parts in junkyards on similar cars (preludes, cb's, civics, da's, etc) and he's bought stuff that looked close and i've sold the leftovers or used them in my car.

I am takeing his word and just spent a fair amount of money on bushings alone. But I trust him no reason not to.

Got my 8-307 civic bushings in and changed the inner sleeve. All the measurements are right all I have to do now is blast my lower controll arms and install the bushings. I am also working on a set of rear trailing arm bushings. If I cant find a replacement I will make a set.

There is no poly replacement for the trailing arms. I've tried everything honda, and spent a lot of money doing so. I haven't found another make with similar trailing arms either.

Our best bet is to have chris make us a sleeve and a couple spacers to run a spherical bearing in there.

I have run into the same thing. I going to make a set hopefully with an off the shelf poly 3 piece bushing. Looking into the bushings at this time. When I find one(crossing my fingers) then I will fab a setup to hold them. Wish me luck. If all goes well and with the upper controll bushings we can get from haunted and all LX-i's help we will have a full poly setup for the little 3rd gen accord.

If you have ever ran a spherical bearing in your suspension then you know how much road feel and noise it transmits to the inside of the car. Too much for me I will keep you posted on the poly fix.

I'm running baked (blue) nylon on most of my bushings up front. I think so far it is working out well, checking ok in the visual inspections. Its very easy to machine and pretty inexpensive.

OK I'm really confused as to how no one else figured out how to install the 8-312 kit with out buying more parts. I spent about 10 minutes looking at the bushings and thought... I bet these will fit in the stock sleeves if I open the ends... And what do you know they slid right in. So essentially all one needs to do is pull there lower arms, and take a torch and burn out all the rubber, and inner sleeve. Clean e'm up. De-taper the sleeve, and install the new bushings. You'll be left with the 8 new outter sleeves. I'll post pics of them.

Re: Poly Rear LCA bushings - do they fit?

Heres the pics of what I did.

First burn out the old bushing, and open the ends to its not tapered.

    Then disassemble the 8-312 bushings

Then install the new poly bushings and inner sleeve into the original shell. Rock and roll.

This can also be accomplished with out pressing the sleeves out of the control arms too.

I had this verified by 3 alignment / suspension shops as to whether or not this was a feasible way to do this and they agreed.
