the beauty of these type cars is an in frame rebuild isnt too bad, and mostly you can get away with honing and cleaning the block. Unless of course you slung a rod sprayin that stufrf.. lol. of course it will run again you know it will.![]()
I know that feeling. I did an engine build, tranny build and an MT swap all at the same time. After I had it all torn down, I looked around the shop, saw all the wreckage and thought, "I'm never going to get this all back in the car again." I did though and it runs great.

no problem, you have the axles out slap remans in there no extra work there, exhaust.. tack it up there best you can and get it to exhaust shop or bring it here I know a guy that has one in at his house.. I drove mine there with open header LOL
tranny problem is supposed to be easy to fix if it is 5th out.. too
I know the feeling though, overwhelming at times and it is hard to find that point to get started up again. I wind up organizing tools and working area for a hour or two sometimes before I can clear my mind up to get a handle on a project after being away from it a day or two or thirty![]()
Well I started porting the head to day an man its been a while sence I've done this!dont wana cut too much but dont wana leave something I could have remove!

The last shop I took the car too put in a new cat. They also decided that they'd kindly remove the middle exhaust support just before the cat. When I unbolted the flex pipe the whole system fell on the ground. I was like WTF!? It's hanging there now with one of those big dryer vent hose clamps. It works great too! LOL!!

Actually thats a 4series schwitzer double vained with a 6in inlet and 4in outlet on the cold side and a 5in down pipe flange thats for my STC 444hp cummins bigcam IV in my 1988 freightliner
Its got a holeset on it now and i dont like it! It spools too fast and runs out of balls when i need it the most.
Well i got started again today. I got my cv joints and tranny seals in still waiting on my head though.

The whrilly whiz is for his big truck Tdurr I think, but If you wanted use one I recommend studding the block and some bungees around the oil pan n valve cover to limit fallout![]()
