    Wrecked the Red Car

I wrecked the Red Car tonight. Nothing really major but I get to replace some parts on the front and repaint. I'm totally bummed. I rear-ended a big Ford pickup with a trailer hitch. Obviously, my car lost that fight. The guy looked at it, saw there was no damage, said, "No problem," shook my hand and drove off.

I'm also flying off to Haiti Sunday to help with the relief effort. Wish me well.

    Take care everyone.

FFFUUUUUUUU!!! Dude that sucks!!! Doesn't it figure you'd get your car all nice and that would happen? Sorry to hear the news man!

Good luck in Haiti! I think the rest of the world has already forgotten about them.

I would say grill, hood, latch support, possibly a radiator support, all easy to replace and should be cheap at the yard.

    Re: Wrecked the Red Car

I had a chance to look it over today. My bumper took most of the impact. It is bent, but I don't see that anything behind it is bent. The hood is buggered and it looks as if the latch is a little bent too. The latch should bend back into place. I just need to replace the hood and bumper and I'll be ready to roll again. If I take bare parts into Maaco it should be pretty cheap to paint them. I'll start tearing it down when I get back and I'll know for sure then.

    Thanks for the support everyone.

I need one thing from your damaged bumper. Can you do me a favor man? cut out lights from it when you get a new bumper. I like that dip on 86-87 bumper, and like 88-89 corner lights. wanted to mix those.
