Well how many ponys you got ? It matter on what type of clutch you will need and remember if you got more ponys in your car than what your car is rated for make your brake system upgrade.

    Re: clutch question

with a mostly stock engine you just need to go with an OEM equivalent clutch, you don't need a stage anything

here these are supposed to be excellent clutches for normal use, unless you are racing you really don't need much more. http://www.partsgeek.com/gbproducts/...ek+Google+Base

yea, I was just saying he has basically a stock engine, no point in wasting money on a stage five clutch when all he needs is an oem equipment style

    Re: clutch question

Ebay often has Exedy clutches on the cheap.

    Probably an Exedy: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1986-...item5d295c040a

    Listed an an Exedy: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/New-E...item5187901e34

The clutch should be a fuse in your drive line, blowing before you blow axles or transmissions. I think Sean was running an Exedy with a claimed 350HP with little slippage. Our cars have more clutch from the factory than they need.

BTW, the OEM clutch in the car is LUK/Exedy. That's what came with the car and lasted 22 years. Why go with anything else on a stock car?
