Need opinion on A/T deal

As some of you know I am the guy with the A/T problem,
I am looking for one that works. I was offered one for fifty bucks
plus shipping. The seller said that it shifted hard from park,
and he had to shift at around 1400rpm, but it was because his idle was
set high. I am not exactly sure what he means by "I had to shift at around
1400rpm", It's and automatic. And also, what would the idle have to do with
the transmission? I just wanted to get some opinions before I buy the transmission. He said other than the hard shift from park, it shifted fine.

Hrm, if the throttle value cable is not set right it would cause the car to shift at a higher rpm.

also low fluid can cause shifting problems... as well as when you first start the car sometimes the trans can shift differently.
