Thanks dude, but I think we should make a new thread all together, once our swaps are done we will compile our knowledge/pics into one post!

No worries, we really need someone to finish an innovative swap so we can see if it fits the same as the PRI mounts. If so then we can use my axle setup, and the shift rod is pretty simple to.

My writeup will cover obd-0 and obd-1 ecu wiring. Reason being that my B16A1 came with a obd-0 ecu so.... yeah im going to cover both. My wiring will put you to the point that If you want to run and obd-1 ecu on your B series engine, all you will have to do is buy / build any run of the mill jumper harness that is documented 10,0000 times on the internet for early civics and acura's

As for a proper wire tuck.. I didnt do a complete one on my car, as I am not overly concearned about appearance as go fast. However I can definately put up links to some write ups of other civics that will give idea's. I am going to provide what is necessary to get your B series wired up and running. How you run the wires is completely up to you.

^A lot of people dont know though, that youd dont have to extend the drivers side wires. All you have to do is deloom the harness and rerun it, rewrap it an d youre done. Same with the passenger side to put the fusebox under the dash, although there are 5 wires you have to extend, and 1 maind power you have to extend.

If I ever get a 3gee and keep the stock engine, I might have to try that.

I have a shop near me that can, are you trying to do some kind of LS/CTR setup with your rods and pistons?

I was thinking about that yes, but a full swap would be to expensive just now. Was thinking to rise CR in my B20a I already have, overhaul the block and port Head, with some SS Lude valves. and OBD1. Build a simple NA.

you want to go with an LS/vtec or b20/vtec setup. theyre a great setup when going b series.

BLOCK: b18b1/b20z block with high compression b16 pistons.
HEAD: b16/gsr/type R head (vtec head)
    TRANSMISSION: b16/gsr/type R tranny. (type R has LSD so thats a +)

Sorry to thread jack legend just putting it out there for alot of noobs that look through your thread in the future.

you forgot that B18C is Hydro clutch, B16a B18a is cable, but the diff can be swapped over from B18c.

Messy, i know how it goes, believe me. but I desided to do what needs to be done for now. I have other engine plans for future, I just need a temporary engine, my A20 is fupd. :/

I would be careful with that. In all honesty the B20 is a rare engine, and if that thing explodes your pretty much SOL. I would buy the Innovative mounts while they are available, then save up for a swap down the road. I think your just gonna run into a huge head ace with the fully built b20.

Anything bigger then a b16 would be good, Just remember theres no replacement for displacement! The most cost effective swap would be the b20 from a CRV, but you can NOT turbo the stock block on those. If you plan on going all motor, its a good platform to start with. You could swap it in, then build up you parts collection to make it a Vtec-monster!

LS/v, and b20/V are good, but dont forget theres a ton of b-series options out there and it really depends on what type of setup you want. Daily, turbo, NA, track car, ECT....... Theres lots of transmission options as well.
