You should still keep the head at least, just in case you want more power later on.
I already have the kit from my ls-v, but I really don't want to deal with all that. Not as plug and play as they seem.
Like a katana blade in my back.
I'll probably sell the head, need all the cash I can get!
Well I would have had the car running last saturday, but the guy I ordered the intake manifold from sent me one for a b16. Decided I would run the b20 manifold to make sure engine was not a dud. Everything fired up on the first try, just need to get the proper intake manifold.
LSv coming out.
Bye Bye LSv, hello b20!
All clear
And this is why the stock b20 intake manifold can not be used.

That's a beast intake . Lol

hood spacers? i just installed them on my hatch it gave it a pretty nice slant
Ha!! He'd need like a 6" spacer lmfao
Well do the ricer thing and remove the hood at the same time you'll loose a couple pounds lol
It looks even taller in person, pretty funny looking lol
Thanks, its been a long road for this car!
I don't think that is happening lol.
It definitely would not, the manifold stick up past the hood quite some bit.
Actually thought about that till they send my my new manifold, but Texas weather can change in a heart beat and some rain in there would be bad.
just use an ls intake and call it a day. that shit is hella bad for making power anyway..

Thanks, i'm so ready to start driving this car again lol. It's been 1 thing after another.
That was the only saving grace really lol.
I ordered the bloxs, it was the cheapest aftermarket I could find (besides the giant square ones that I hate).
The irony is that 2 days prior to the swap I threw away a perfectly good LS manifold I had for almost 4 years. Just my luck with this car.
Let me know what you think of the B20 vs. LSvtec in your car. I love how torquey the b20 is in mine, but really am wanting a vtec head as it seems to lack a bit in the top end.

B20v is good. You have to do it right . Thou. Golden eagle lsv kit an arp head studs am arp rod bolts

It is a much different type of drive, the LSv revs higher and makes more HP. The b20 will be a better DD type of motor imo. I'll get some videos up when its running.
I've heard that people run the stock rod bolts up to 7.5 rpm. Not sure if I would try it, but seems to be proven so far.
