    leaking proportioning valve?

I notice 'moisture' around my proportioning valve (89 LXi 516k miles). The paint has peeled from the lines coming from it. Does that mean it is bad or that the nuts need to be tightened maybe or lines sealed somehow? Are they repairable if/when they go bad? And are they gettable anymore - one Honda parts site I checked showed they were not. I need to find it again but I may have seen on here that they are not made anymore? There are no aftermarket proportioning valves either?

    Thanks.

They're not available from the dealer anymore and there isn't an aftermarket replacement.
Best bet is to find one used off something with low miles. You'll need a 30/40 for the 88-89 LX-i.
