opinion on accord 89 si manual for sale

hello, i found a accord 1989 accord si manual, the owner says its blowing white smoke, im thinking a blown head gasket, also a little rattle when put in reverse, should i buy? If i do get it it will be first time trying to repair blown head gasket ? I already have an auto accord si but want to sell and get the manual !

if it's cheap, go for it. keep the one with the best body & swap all the good things over from the other one & you should be all good to go

head gaskets are alot like pie.

Pie: Fun and very tasty and before you know it you ate the whole thing

Head gasket: Fun and very easy, and before you know it your done

only downside is pie is much cheaper then a head gasket =(

Ive never had to replace a head gasket so im not sure how difficult that is But if tha price is right go for it, Theres no better way to learn than going right at it.

the owner is now saying it has low compression in the second and 3rd cylinder and could be the rings and bearings ??? it this worth it ?

The low compression can be from a blown head gasket.

if its cheap buy it for the gearbox. and simply make one mint car out of the two, if both chassis are too good to biff get a shitbox a20 motor from a junkyard accord to put in to sell it off

already sold the auto , so manual hmmmm be a good learning car i guess will go check the car out this week and see whats up with the white smoke shit !
