well site, you've certainly beat me to the puch with this one. I've been trying to find a shop around here that will sister up two diff. manifolds in order for me to get to one that will work with these carbs. I'm still a fan of the weber, but i'm thinking of going with Dellorto sidedrafts instead b/c I've been hearing lots of good news about them, and they're cheaper.

What's the best part about the whole conversion...? Yeah, the hp and torque gains are great, but the best thing of all is NO MORE VACCUUM LINES!!!!!! WOOOOHHHOOOOOOO

-It feels great! There's a stronger pull throughout my small RPM range (I still have a weak stock cam), and a noticeable power increase once I hit above 3000 RPMs. That's when the throttle plates begin to open wide and the main venturis kick in. It also sounds like a beast!

-Yeah, and about 3 inches to spare after that. I love the size of our engine bays!

-Total conversion cost was $576.35 and about 5 weeks worth of work. You can see the itemized costs in the thread linked in my first post of this thread.

You can get used DCOEs off of Ebay for about $200. Count on rebuilding them.

-I've done some reading and discussion with others on the difference 'tween Dellorto DHLAs and Weber DCOEs. Basically, they achieve the same ends through different means with a very similar look. DHLAs and DCOEs use the same manifolds. DHLAs are cheaper, but can also be more difficult to find rebuild parts for.

-Right on! I am now rid of the 3Gee vacuum hell that once plagued my engine

you are right ! those vacumme lines suck! ....your engine bay looks much much cleaner!
