    Question 1987 honda accord

Hi, first time on fourm! I have an honda accord 1987, I think it's just a basic model! I've have a problem with it jumping, or feel like it's missing like a fouled plug, but I changed the pulgs, but found the plugs to be striped out and retapped one out and replaced with an insert and replaced it!,BUT it only does this at 2500-3500 RPM's, the car is carbed, and the plugs I think I need to tap the other 3 spark plugs! I've changed dist. cap, rotor, plug wires, it started runing a hole lot better!, but I'm steel think I need to re-tap the other three spark plug holes, they did'nt fell like they were seated right, all were forced in when I tryed to tune-up!, some one else had done it before!, the car is one owner with 182,000 miles, but everything works, cruse control, everything all power electrical! Will be changing timming belt this month! I'm thinking It's the timing belt! Car runs great but only have this problem at stated RPM's! Don't know if I have any vacum problems or anything like that! It's a 5 speed, But in excellent condition! Can anyone Help? Thank you very much!

    Question Re: 1987 honda accord

Today retapped other three plug holes and replaced spark plugs!, but after I tryed to start, it wouldn't start! checked wires, checked if getting gas, checked if fire from coil to dist., getting fire! checked plug wires for fire from the dist., to #1 plug, getting fire, checked #4 wire from dist. to plug and no fire! checked for wires in right place on each plug!, thats okay! checked for right gap on plugs before installing! brand new dist., rotor, wires, plugs, just about 2 weeks ago! Could it have jumped timing today! Head start from dist., #1, #2, #3, and #4! dist. marked #4, #2, #1, #3! checked everything! both gas filter has been changed!, but carb is getting gas! Could the whole distributor have gone bad, electrically? OR sould check timing belt!, Like I said it would jump or feel like a fould plug! Now the jump really felt like a jump, and other time like a fouled plug! Can some one help plase!
