Front flaps were standard equipment. The rear flaps were optional. I bought the rears for my car at the dealer while it was still in its first year of life. Following the lead of another member I modified them to remove the part that said "HONDA" on it so they now have a much cleaner look, like on the newer Hondas.

^ Are you sure fronts were standard on the DX and/or LX? I had four on my first coupe. Fucking pissed that I didn't keep the rears.

I guess I am not 100% sure of anything. Some on the dealer's lot had all four, but most of what I have seen was only the fronts. I prefer the clean look myself. My cut down flaps look much better because, honestly, the look of them without modification is a bit old school, almost like they belonged on the 2g squarish models. I also don't feel the need to restate that the car is a "HONDA" at all four corners.

mine had all 4 when i bought it but i took them off mainly because the fronts would always scrape going in my drive way but also ,like ayeobe i like the clean look.

I love the line of the fender where it meets the front wheel. I find it looks much better withought mudflaps. Ill just wash my car more often, to keep it clean.
