cool here's another project for the future. complete this:


all I've done there is cut the top part off the accord climate controls off & cut the rear defroster part off the prelude controls & it seems to fit nicely. this will let me turn the foldy down thingy into something non-climate control related, like cup holders or something

i made the car fit 4x114 hubs off a 5g accord

which means it should now be easily swappable to 5 stud in the future

haha they may bolt on but they might not drive very well. probably will rub on something?? or give too much camber etc etc, Im running 2nd gen 2.0si brakes and hubs on my car, they work mint also. easy brake swap for the accord there (Y)

since he just happens to have a 3g and a 5g there, it would be interesting to have the 2 uprights compared side by side to see what the difference is.

i modified some 5g lower control arms to work. might have to swap radius rods too. i have the rear sorted out i think. i'll post more progress on that later when i'm less sick

hay its no use to you, it doesn't even work :P

not much progress going on lately, but i do have a couple good rustless doors on the car now. i still need some epoxy/etch primer for behind the hinges though. I wont align them till the car is back on the ground with some weight in it to flex in the body. aligning doors is teh suck job

nah those where previously worked on & whoever painted them done a shitty job cause the paint was cracked. I'd prolly have to take those doors back to bare metal if I where to use them. the back door came off my daily driver & the front one is the original to this car lol

I have acquired some self etching rust prevention primery stuff today. and made a start, though not getting anywhere fast lol

made a start on removing some sound deadening shyte. I want to get rid of all dead weight in the car lol

i started to fix this dent that's been on the car since i got it:

i hammered it out as straight as i could lol

then took it back to metal and put some filler on it. this filler i have is a few years old and such a bitch to mix it properly.. but when done right it works lol

sanded..

damn metal high spots. i was lucky enough to just dent those in enough to put more filler on though so yay.

also fixed up teh bonnet hinges, firstly by spending 10 minutes unsiezing them.

then wire wheeled/ground off the rust

and etch primered


also a bonnet strut (old hatch strut off crx) a little bit more modification and it will be perfect. just need the one, it will clear the motor too when it's done


and cause i can, a pic of my civic engine bay, still looking as good as the day i painted it
