OK....I've seen a number of shocks but...(? on koni's)

I just got my koni's in and the instructions blow.....its just pics and no words.....how do you adjust these things.....it looks like from the pic you have to take them apart or something. I tried to rotate the tube but that doesn't work.....I know rotating the shaft doesnt' do anything so can anybody point me in the right direction?
In the end...it doesn't even matter.

Jim helped me on this....but this is what I did with mine..I wanted to beat jim.

Push the shaft all the way down into the strut..and twist it until you feel the adjusting mechanism click a little. Then turn it all the way in the direction of the - sign (it will be hard to twist, thats how you know that you are turning the adjusting mechanism). Then turn mark it in that position with a pencil and then turn it one full rotation towards the + sign. That will make it one setting up from the softest setting for rebound.

Jim, did I miss something? Or am I totally wrong?

Use an Allen Key and push the piston rod all the way down in a counter clockwise motion until it clicks, keep turning until it won't turn any more. That is full soft on rebond.

Now make one full turn in clockwise motion with the Allen Key still in the piston rod. Do whatever you need to do, so that you know you have turned it one full turn clockwise. The Allen key make the turning easier.

When you do this you should make sure all the shocks are adjusted the same way.

Once you have adjusted the rebound, to set it, pull the rod up about an 1 inch and then turn it to keep your adjusted settings.

Koni has a how to on their website: http://www.koni.com

Rather than reinvent the wheel I edited CARBurn's above reply. Read it again, that's how to adjust the koni's and where to set the adjustment level, one full turn off full soft rebound. I hope you don't mind CARBurn.

Man I wish I knew whether my setting was in the strut or not...I guess I am going to adjust them again before I put them in to make sure they are set right.

:lol I did that to nate. I played around with different setting's. I must have adjusted them a dozen times just to see what the diff was before I installed them.

Alright I'll try it when I get home. Was I suppose to get a "adjusting knob"......and what is the purpose of the two holes oppsite each other where the rod goes into the tube......do I have to turn this too?.....why did they have to make this shit so impossible to understand?....
In the end...it doesn't even matter.

Nope, not at all, I knew you could think of a better way to phrase what I was trying to say.

The struts Koni made for us, doesn't come with an adjust knob. All you need is the Allen Key(or wrench) to make your adjustments properly.

I agree Koni should have came up with better instructions in the box. Those instructions look like some kid drew them up, but they are good struts, nevertheless, once you put them on.
