Most of the circle track guys seem to only run these cars until they blow, then they move on. I messaged the only active circle track guy on here, but I think he runs a Prelude. That's fine with me, as I feel that 3geez and Prelude Power are much the same site, just different cars.

This is from the Feb '10 issue of SportsCar magazine. Last year, someone named Daniel Kaene took 1st in the ITB (Improved Touring B) class of The American Road Race of Champions. Looks like an LX-i coupe.

I'm trying to drum up interest for this forum, but it's been a bit of an uphill battle. Hopefully, people seeing these cars out on the track will get them to come here a bit more and maybe take interest in racing on a track.

And is that front wheel lockup going that hard? What tires are you running?

I'd post more, but I've only done like two events this year.

In the pic I'm pretty sure I managed to lock up all 4 tires. Those were my old BFG g-force sports. I have Kumho ecsta XS now and I've yet to lock them up bad (already spun though, ha!).

I run SMF with this setup. Placed first last event with the closest car behind me by 1.6 seconds. I was also the fastest FWD car out of the entire field. yay!

edit: Found a quote from the guy I'm always trying to beat. He's the guy that placed second behind me at the last event.

"Funny thing. I came out with a slower car that had a tad more suspension. Got the closest to Wold Ive been all year (I judge my times on the fastest fwd drivers out, and he has generally been at or near the top). However, Trevor stepped the fuck up in his 88 Accord and dusted both me and Wold...like I said, Im done giving you advice Props mang, you drove the wheels off that thing. Got me thinking about all the people I told that those cars had very little potential when I worked at ISC. I guess if you came in and I told you that, I owe you an appology, lol."

Perfect stiffness for me. Absolutely love the setup now. It's a bit stiff for street driving, but dialing the shock stiffness down helps with that a bit. For track duty though they performed flawlessly.

btw: just thought I'd mention this. The front lip on my car is from a late 80's camry. Can't remember what year, but it perfectly fits the pre-facelift bumpers. In case anyone cared. Man I really need to renew my foundation so I can start a build thread.

lol. I'll see if I can't find the time to do a proper photoshoot this week, and then maybe start up my build thread. I've got a fun carb project going on that I'm sure everyone will be excited to hear about.

Sorry to be off subject Vanilla, but I got one more question for turabaka. Is this the model of camry you got that lip from?

I'm pretty sure that's what I got it off of. I had to use some Nylon spacers to make it sit lower, and had to heat it up a bit with the heat gun to get it to mold properly around the curve of the bumper. Other than that it was a snap to install. Prolly through it on there in 10 minutes or so.

lol. He was on a scissor lift in the middle of the lot. Funny enough the guy taking those photos drives a 2006 or 07 civic si that's sponsored by skunk2. He was way behind me. I'm thinking close to 2.5 or 3 seconds back.
