For now I "mounted" the front brake lines with thick tie wraps. I didn't get the idea of the mounting plates that were in the box, did you? How did you mount them? Cause I don't really like the tie wrap idea! lol
You could go lower easy by putting the idea of Legend master into action. (Ksports on..not low enough thread)
It would mean losing your warranty.
For Dutch MOT it's not allowed that the springs are loose when the car is jacked up.
About the brake hose mounting. The plates in the box suck and don't fit our cars. I drilled the hole in the standart brake hose clamp to 10 mm and put it under the damper pinch bolt. It's not ideal because the bends a to tight.
I'm looking for some stainless steel hoses, preferably slightly shorter.

I can do that trick indeed, but I don't really like to cut my expensive shocks!

For the loos springs thing: I can do that with the front, but the rear is max low already so that'd mean my car would "look to the ground". It's not allowed for MOT indeed, but it takes a few minutes to change it. But then if you hit a bump on highway it might cause damage because the spring needs to fall into this "bracket" (don't know how to call it lol).

Yeah I'll take a look some time for the brake hoses, but for now it's okay with tie wraps I guess.

Had an other idea for reducing the wheel gap: higher tires..
I've got 195/45/16 right now. With 195/50/16 the wheel gap would decrease with about 0.5 cm (about 1 cm higher wheel total) and with 195/55/16 even a 1 cm decrease of wheel gap (about 2 cm higher wheel total).
    I think that would do!

This would also mean a 0.5 / 1 cm raise of the entire car, which would make driving with the body kit mounted a bit easier.
Still not sure about keeping the body kit or selling it. I really like the stock facelift Aerodeck bumpers, but they're only available in JDM countries so hard/expensive to get.

I had thought of that too. The wheel arches were definitely designed for larger wheels. You'd get better mileage (and more traffic tickets) with bigger tires too. I'd be interested to see how bigger wheels affect the aesthetics of the car.

    Re: bryan's Aerodeck

I'm not too worried about the aesthetics of the car itself, more about how the looks of the rims will be affected by the higher tires.
+ I'll have to wait till my tires are worn. Just got these last summer and have driven on winter tires for about 3 months.

Oh, and mileage and top speed will increase, but on the other hand acceleration will decrease sadly. But I don't think it'll be a big difference.

Yeah... Switched to VW. Driving a Polo G40 now...
A bit more mainstream over here, but a lot cheaper in parts and tuning than a random Japanese car. And a lot of fun to drive as well!

    Re: bryan's Aerodeck

Well it's been a hard decision. All cars I had before were Honda's, so it's still strange to own a VW. Thereby, only a bit of the money I put in the car came back when I sold it, but that's the way it goes...

I am happy with my new car, I just wished I had the time and money to have both the Polo and the Aerodeck!
