My stock set got messed up, somehow the drivers side one got massacred from nothing, and my passenger side was the only casualty to an accident, so i had to replace it.. thus i ended up with two mis-matched ones.. which is why i still have the 89 stile ones on the 89.
They are sometimes different because they're aftermarket replacement parts (made by TYC)

Love the stance, its perfect! And bike racks FTMFW!!!
Just pieceing the new suspension together that came out of the parts car. They are just cleaned up and painted stock struts with mid-level ebay coilovers (this time with the double locking rings instead of the allen bolt). I also went an bought some huge o-rings and taped them around the body of the shock because my current set of the car were pretty floppy on the struts even with the washers. These sleeves are so tight on there then may as well be part of the strut. I also will be posting some pictures of my own top hat mod for extending the throw of the shock absorber when lowered that doesn't use any extra hardware but will involve metal fabrication. Heres the front struts assembled.
I am most likely going to cut the pearches off once the car has pressed the sleeves all the way down onto the struts and I can see exactly where they land. I will also most likely flip the sleeves over as the 1/2" unthreaded portion of the sleeve and the extra locking ring result in about an extra inch + of height to where the spring will sit.
