1989 Honda Accord LXi Coupe, Black/Ivory

1989 Honda Accord LXi Coupe- It has a lot of potential, but needs a lot of work. I bought it as a project when I had a lot of time and no money, and now that I have less time and more money I want to work on a different project. I would just keep this until the other project was done because I love the black/ivory combo, but I don't have the room.

The big bad with the car as I see it is that it has really bad blow by, on a compression test it was, 64, 59, 160, & 49. If it weren't for this I'd be keeping it as a nice commuter to be built upon later, I just don't have the desire to pull the engine right now.

Another bad is that the registration is expired, I believe it will cost $200 to have it registered now. Also, it is not in my name, but I do have the pink, and the bill of sale trail that the DMV requires to get it registered, so that should not be an issue.

The interior is near immaculate for its age and light color, the only issues are sun rot on the tops of the side panels and one of the panels is tweaked and cracked requiring the door to be slammed to close.

My 3geez price is $500 firm, that is what I have into it, I want it to go to someone who sees its potential like I do. I will be posting it on CL for $1000obo.

I forgot to take a pic of the engine bay, if someone needs a pic I'll take one. The cruise control is removed. I did do a home brew water separator catch can (which helped me find the extent of the blow by) I have not decided whether it will be going with the car or not.

Located in Huntington Beach CA. If you live in the neighborhood it can probably be driven home, but anything requiring more than side streets should probably involve a trailer or tow truck.
