How hard is it to remove the pedal assembly? Can you do it with the dash still in place?

Cool. I'll prolly stop by the junkyard later this week then. I want to see if I can modify a set of pedals to put the accelerator in line with the brake pedal, and maybe a little closer to it as well.

I don't see why they couldn't be modified

the blank aluminum piece on top of the panel is for the ignition switches, i don't have the exact dimensions yet so it's still blank

I had stripped my cross member and transmission brackets and exaust hanger bracket. got the exaust hanger back in, cross member back in, exaust shield mostly back up from putting in the shifter, still need a downpipe gasket to bolt up the header pipe. cleaned the oil on the garage floor tiles with simple green, much better working under there. I also put in the mounting screws for the shifter trim.

I did finally put the screws in for the shifter trim, I need to take it all apart and repaint everything, I don't know whether to make it aluminum or paint it black.

depends on how much aluminum trim youre using around the dash and controls, If there is enough to contrast to the black then yes use aluminum there and not black

you can't see it in the picture, it's the part the shift ball on the end of the shifter sits in, it's a bunch of pieces held together with two things that look like rubber bands,
