    intercooler?

idk much about intercoolers but do you have to have a turbo to use an intercooler? if not would it make a huge difference in intake temperature? i got bored and heres wha i was thinking based on my limited knowlegde of intercoolers.:
instead of routing the forced intake from the turbo maybe route a CAI onto the recieving end of the intercooler and use tubing to send it into the manifold? i dont know if this will work and i probably doubt it or someone else would have done it. but if yal think itll work tell me because ill be down to try it

no a cold air intake is what your looking for. intercooler on a none turbo would be a waste of money and weight.

    Re: intercooler?

Def wont work i have seen stupid ass ricers try it.

They do make a CAI that looks like a mini intercooler but its like a panel air filter in a custom lexan box. But still i have seen NA car dynoed with a short ram and with a cai. Short ram always puts down more power.

But i kick it old skool in my 4 door DA. stock airbox with a spoon filter. lol

Just run your intake into the passenger cabin and turn on the A/C.

    Re: intercooler?

for the original poster, when you run the air through a turbo or a supercharger it heats the air up, this causes detonation, the hot air goes through the intercooler before entering the intake, it also fails to install the intercooler BEFORE the turbo, i've seen this done by otherwise smart people
