Kinda new member, with a MINT hatch!

Hey, all!!! I've been on the site for about a month or so, but have been lurking on and off for years. I've always loved the 86-89 hatchback Accords, and finally got one of my own! It's an 87 Accord LXI hatch. It is a Southern California car, and just turned over 284,000 miles today, but is in great shape!!! There is absolutely NO rust on the body or floorpans, and the interior is in great shape as well. The only flaw is because it's been cooking in the California sun up until this spring, the paint is severely faded.

So far all i've had to replace is the rear upper ball joints, driver's side door handle, all 4 tires, and passenger side CV axle. I drive it every day and it averages about 34 miles per gallon.

I forgot to get pics, but underhood is CLEAN, and everything is bone stock. it even has the original Honda exhaust on it still.

It's an automatic car. The A/C blows ICE COLD with the original R12 freon in it, and all the accessories work. My only plans are a new paint job, lowering it, and maybe an intake and exhaust.

Mine was mint except for the interior and faded paint.. until some asswipe thought he would look cool to speed by me before I turned into the other lane and crashed into me. Now my passenger side door is dented and scraped a bit. not too bad though. will repair it sometime.

the 70s and 80s were the BEST. Wish I coulda experianced em.. =(
