I want a link, please. Reading this thread has made me want to redo my upper door panels.

    Hazwan, your work is awesome!

Today's progress. Doing that line thinggy up top with a TV coax cable wrapped in the vinyl and stapled them together. No proper tools for such job ftl -.- And that actually took me 4 tries to get it perfect. I have OCD and its driving me crazy ><

Remember that top and bottom part is still not done. I still need to pull and stretch the top part so that wrinkle should be gone when I'm done. Oh yeah and reusing 2g door lock because they look 10x better haha.

Last one. Stretched the top part and I'm gonna stop for today >< I think it looks decent enough considering I have no proper tools to do this and how everythings done on a tight budget. Oh and how I have no experience too haha.

Oh and flash shows up bunch of flaws too :p

95% complete. Slow progress. Yeah its dirty. It should look decent when its all cleaned up! And the whole panel weighs a ton! Haha fucker weighs like 3x more than stock ><

Hada reuse 1g door handles, which is something I don't plan to do since the black trim thinggy are broken and finding a good one is nearly impossible. But then I'm not comfortable hacking my doors to use the 2g handles. Oh well this will do for now. I'll see what I can do next time. I can always redo the fabric insert later on.

I still gotta repaint the misc plastics and find the missing power window switch -.-

I would love to get a set of mint ones. Finding them is impossible, they are all cracked from the sun and stuffs in here.

    Anyway PICS time!

This is how I did the lines thinggy with the TV coax cable.

I then laid a sponge thinggy underneath and stretched the vinyl.

Oh and driver's side is almost done too. I must say it looks a lot neater and much cleaner now that I have a lot more experience with these stuffs!

    Re: Custom door panels (Y)

Yay thanks guys! Moar progress today. Painted the bits and pieces. Did the fabric insert for driver's side and looking a lot neater than the passenger side. All that left is the bottom carpeted portion and misc clips and stuffs!

Soooo comfortable. And looking sexy too

Once again, flash shows up bunch of tiny little flaws that is barely visible unless you're looking for it. Overall I'm happy with how it turned out!

    Re: Custom door panels (Y)

Not much done today. I was having fun with the wires It's fun when you are combining two different components from two different manufacturers (N) I've got a main switch out of a Daihatsu for really cheap, and since my power windows are custom (hacked) ones, I really don't wanna go through all the trouble again to retrofit something from another Honda, since Honda's power window electrical is slightly different from everyone else, having two extra wires on driver's side motor for auto up/down thinggy. The Daihatsu's switch doesn't and simply rely on load detection for the motor. Combining that with the 2g switch is rather fun if you ask me LOL. But yeah I've managed to get it working (Y)

I've done similar stuff with my power folding mirrors with them coming out from a Nissan and the switch being a Honda :p

    Yay relays

Had the whole thing in some old alarm case and I'm gonna mount them just like the stock module did in the driver's door :P Noone would suspect anything!

Bonus pic. Took this last week I think.

    Re: Custom door panels (Y)

Haha thanks! The console is from... you guessed it. A 2g Accord :p They fit fine, I didn't have the original brackets so I had to fabricate them. I'm sure the original brackets should fit fine with extra holes and such made.

Anyway the panels are 95% complete, the front ones at least haha and I haven't touched them since yesterday. I moved on to wiring work for a bit since I'm sick with the panels for now :P

    PICS!

My hacked manual window regulator, and I mean hacked up :p

And doors too, since they won't fit

They sure look ghetto but its been about 3 years and still working perfectly fine :p
