Been skeeving around here for a couple weeks, figured I'd make an intro thread. First off, i'm gonna have to let you all know that i'm a ford guy! And primarily I ride/race motorcycles. (please don't) lol. This is my first import car ever, but I got it for free and couldn't pass it up. Just want to make it run as long as possible so I don't have to commute on my motorcycles in the frigid cold this year!
i like long walks on the beach, guns, beer, booze, automotive performance, and motorcycles.

yep were all diffrent kinds of car people here that for some reason once we get a 3gee we fall in love with them! though i liked them since i was a little kid since my step dad had one he bought new.

the honda flip ups normally last a long time! when u see them stuck up its normally just a fuse and an owner that doesnt know how to replace it haha

does anyone make fender patch panels? as you can see the rear quarter/wheel well area is rusted through.
i know this beast is never gonna look pretty, but i figured it'd be a decent way to practice bodywork

she looks good man! and i think ebay used to sell some patch panels . and a couple other sites do some searching and they should pop up!. if you do it and it comes out well do my car! i got rusted out qp's as well

idk if you have the supplies but my dad used to just cut out around the rust spot put it on a metal router to form an identical piece/outline and weld it in. after that he'd sand it down bondo it and it would look great. all you need is like 250 for a basic electronic tig welder and the router and you'll have a basic body shop right there... if you can pick up welding easily
