Another autocross results thread. 10/16 & 10/17

Finally getting around to posting up my results from last weekends autocross.

Took first in SMF both days. Putting me at a grand total of 5 wins in a row so far. Also took fastest fwd on Sunday, but got beat out on Saturday.

Without further ado. Here's the results of both days:

Saturday: final
PAX took 31st out of 70
Raw took 29th out of 70

Sunday: final
PAX took 23rd out of 61
Raw took 21st out of 61

We have one more weekend of events before the season wraps up. The guy that I'm usually trying to beat in my class corded his tires at this event, so I'm letting him co-drive my car at the next event. We'll have to see if I can still beat him even though I'm almost positive he's a better driver than me.

His usual car is an 89 civic with a b-series swap running kumho v710 tires. On Sunday though he ended up co-driving someone else's car which is an 06 civic si with a decently big mod list.

As for winter plans. I'm hoping to save up enough money to get my headwork done. Already got the bisi springs, cam gear, and intake gasket. I'm gonna order some bigger valves, titanium retainers, and new valve guides when money allows. The plan is bigger valves, port and polish, and milling the deck a little bit.

heh yeah. I was going about 70 and tried to slow down a bit too quick. Didn't flat spot them though thankfully.

I'm gonna rotate them inside out since the insides don't really have any wear in them. Should get at least another half season out of them.

Graphite gray hatchy.....pure hardcore sex......not that I'm biased Hopefully I can get a couple things straitened out on my car so I can try my hand at autocross next year.

From another SMF'er Congrats. The car looks super great, Is your car catching air in the 2nd pic? Or just a little tire lift there? Either way... Car looks good...
here is a tip... Use the pics of your car to see what your car is doing... But from what I can tell, looks like its pretty good...
Those super Hot in the corner shots really show you if you can change something in your alignment, Like more neg camber or whatever...

heh. That's definitely catching air in the second pic. Both back tires are off the ground. I think there's another pic from a split second before where the front is off the ground as well. I remember it because the landing hurt like hell.

Thanks for the tip on the picture watching. I'll definitely pay more attention in the future.
