I had to clearance the intake before I put it on since it hit the distributor adapter plate. I cut a litter more off then I need to probably should have measured better.

Installed the coolant tube, oil pressure senders, oil feed line, fuel rail, and injectors. Swaped the IACV and TPS from the other manifold and blocked the EGR port.
Got a great deal on the oil filter it was only $1.50. To bad they only had one.

Bro, you've spent so much time and money building up your dream motor, and you're going to trust it all to that junk filter? When you wonder why it takes so long to get oil pressure at startup, change that filter out for a Wix. Trust me, you haven't saved yourself any money.

Haven't gotten much more done. Cleaned the bench off tonight in preparation of disassembling a transmission to install the LSD.

Did a little more working tonight. Installed an oil cap with a vent in it to help aid with crank case venting. Started pulling my old transmission apart to clean the case and install the limited slip differential along with a new set of gears since I killed 2nd gear in it.
Oil cap vent.
Removed old gasket material from case.

Nice
Drill out the oil passage for 5th gear.
un-motivated!
someone make me an offer i just could not say no to.

I remember reading back in the day on the endyn site about having too much mass connected to the oil port, supposedly it will cause fatigue and the fitting will eventually break off. You might be able to get away with that on a V8 or inline 6, but I wouldn't risk it on a 4cyl, too much vibration.
Thanks for the heads up I didn't even think about that.
I have a hose clamp supporting the pressure sensor holding it to the water pipe. I ran it like that for several thousand miles before I started rebuilding the motor. But i will look for something to remedy the issue before it becomes a problem.
You could do a braided steel line to an "oil manifold", or use a sandwich adapter with multiple oil pressure ports, like the Golden Eagle vtec conversion kit I used on my b18a1. I always run mechanical oil pressure gauges. Maybe I'm just weird that way, but at least that does eliminate that huge ridiculous looking cylindrical thing.
Can someone who has drilled out the oil passage for 5th gear shed a little light on this for me. I've searched the forum but couldn't find anything that had a difinitave answer. Here is my case now. I only assume its supposed to be one of the two spots im pointing out.

No, it's on the mainshaft. You're looking for a little teeny pin-sized hole on the mainshaft just where fifth gear sits. It's barely big enough and pretty much useless when oil levels are low. The shaft is hardened steel so I'm not sure how you'll drill it. Maybe someone else can weigh in on that.

Ok. So this would be it then.

I found this post and noticed the extra hole in my case is already there. Unfortunately the linked pic is gone but the thumbnail is there.

Installed the pinion gear on the LSD and assembled the transmission as far as I could tonight. I don't have the gaskets for the transmission or any gasket maker so I had to stop.

Sick. I'm jealous
Love seeing things done right.
Transmission is assembled and ready to back on the motor.

Lightweight flywheel and clutch installed. I hope this sprung six puck clutch will hold the power this motor will make at least for a little while.

I like what I'm seeing sir. Keep up the good work
Installed the transmission last night along with the rear and lower motor mount brackets.

Installed the motor tonight. Put the axels in the transmission and started connecting various other items.
