maybe the antenna came loose
thats what i thought. should only have to back out the two screws to the antenna plate to find out i assume? but even at that, wouldn't there be static?
Antenna wire in the back of the deck.
i will try that. but i wonder how it would have came loose? i have never shimmied the deck or anything. then again, i didn't install the deck either. bought it with the car.
lil bumps and such and time are dangerous for plugs lol
Someone could have not installed it properly, and if it was in just far enough to get a reception, any bump or a slammed door/hood could have been enough to make it come out far enough to not get reception.
Edit: Damn you, geddy.
not to mention being lowered lol. so now the real question. so i pull the deck out and thenhow do i locate the antenna wire? sorry for the noob question but i have never dealt with this before. what do i look for? is it part of the deck? etc.
There are only "two" wires that come out of the back of a deck (unless you have a sub/amp).
Small antenna wire with a silver end. Large motherfucking wire harness.
Make sure both are tight/secure.
ya the antenna could aslo be part of an adapter so there might be a second section that might have come unplugged
got it! pulled the deck. seems like something was loose. pulled the harness, plugged it back in, and then there was a black wire that was crimped, wiggled it and voila. thank you everyone. now i have music again.
no prob bob
