ok so, my buddy has a 5 speed trans from an 86 prelude, and from my understanding, cuz its carb'd, it wont bolt in, BUT, is it possible to take the 2nd and 3rd gear from the prelude trans, and swap them into my trans?
or is that just a complete waste of time.
I want to keep my trans, cuz i found out the first gear is the super low gear, and it'll sound cool with my cherry bomb:P

You'll need to get some info. on the diameter of the shaft, thickness of gear & few other small specs to compare. Might try calling you local dealership & asking 'parts' what the specs are from both applications.

it wont bolt in because the prelude carb car uses a smaller flywheel and clutch than the accord one...if you want to get it rebuilt go to mantrans.com or google it...they gave me a good price on a rebuilt trans
