Has anyone ditched the standard dome light and put in something from another car that will throw a spot down on the driver or passenger? My wife likes to read in the car, and the singular dome light is distracting to my driving.
I had an old Volvo that had a pretty good setup for this, but I don't know how it would fit.
it might be rare but the JDM map light might help you

I have one from a ford truck, the same one is in a lot of their cars and trucks it has the center lamp for when the doors are open, and two individual lamps, one for the driver, and one for the passenger. or she could get an LED clip on book light. pretty much anything will fit, you just have to make a base that attaches to the factory mountings
Can't you get your wife a book light? You know, the ones that attach to the book?
