I know people here have filled the stock mounts before, I just found this article and product, very interesting way of making factory mounts much stronger

This product is very interesting, if you happen to know how to make plaster molds, I could see sway bar bushings, etc, being made, with a little bit of modification to the technique, it could be used to fill in stock dog bone bushings and make them much more solid. I'm going to have to find a set of the bar bushings now that are new and mold myself some, there are other parts as well such as cross member bushings etc, make a mold with several of them, pour it, wait a couple of days, and new parts
thats interesting... i may try that later on when i build my old motor

here's an e how on making a plaster two sided mold, combine this with the technique from the article and you can make a urethane part of almost anything you need
lol im sure you could but unless its something that is just a straight line with straight turns, i wont be able to do it. im horrbile with persecption and measurements... which is why im having such a problem learning alignment

think of it this way, get a couple of factory sway bar mounts, which no one makes except for factory, make a plaster mold of both of them, really easy to do, pour it, in a couple of days split it open and you have urethane sway bar mounts which don't exist. all you would have to do is trim up a little flash and cut the split in them like factory, no modifying them, they would fit perfectly like a factory part, you don't have to measure, you are copying the factory parts
You'd have to have a fairly complicated mold to capture the flanges and hole on the original mount. I don't see it working. You should make a How-To.

love ya for that link lost you gave me some ideas!
Honestly i buy the red insert kit from an auto parts place and cut them. Only a slight mod for the bracket and all good.

The dog bone is actually a really good idea lost. That stupid bushing has a ridiculous amount of play in it (Even new ones...). It's really only there to limit engine movement, but i think with less play it would do it's job more effectively.
an easy way to make urethane bushes that are not available, is to get a chunk of urethane round stock, freeze it solid and turn it on the lathe.
you have to be quick, as it heats up pretty quick tho
