I have a (think original) towbar lying around from my first Aerodeck, and it's 10 times more heavy than yours, probably stronger too.
The interior looks clean, whats does the button below the 'antenna up/down' button do?
The towbar is VCA (Vehicle Certification Agency) & MIRA (Motor Industry Research Association) approved. And tested to pull and stop a lot more than the car's legally aloud to pull... And it has a lifetime guarantee And I'm kinda glad it doesn't weigh 10 times what it does

I think the switch off the top of my head is the rear foglights. I'll let you know tomorrow if not

Cheers bud I'm happy for it to be an auto for the time being... Although I am a manual man. And if and when it does come to it, it'll be an H22a

That's the headlight washer button. Can't see if this one has it, but below that one would be the seat heater button.

Tis indeed... I checked earlier today. No heated seats, but they're snug enough, do they need to be heated?

Finished treating the rust today and applied one coat of primer so far. Towbar's fitted, so not long before I can piece it all back together soon

I think it's funny that you guys have to have rear fog lights but not front ones.

Man, I want your climate control buttons - I like the pictures rather than the words we have here in North America.

edit: Does your car have air conditioning?

Does seem daft doesn't it. You'd be amazed just how many drivers that do have front fog lights drive around with them on even when the weather's great in this country though... I'd rather no-one had them

Weird that you have words on your buttons. You'd think you like everybody would just have as the Japanese designed them. Weird :?

And no aircon no. Just the air recirculation system. Still seems hell of a good setup.

Thats because of all USDM were made in the US, but our EDM were made in Japan and shipped here. Maybe they tried to be a little different. Besides USDM have got cupholders and armrest, no such thing for us. Like we dont drink cafe in the car pssshhh...

    Re: Nafeman's UKDM '89 EX-2.0i Aerodeck

    Had a delivery today...

I had a bit of worry when they arrived at my work and I was told a set of 4 tyres had arrived for me. They were convinced they were only tyres as they'd picked them up and there was no real weight to them. But no, it just turns out that they're just that light!

They're RH Classics. 15"x7J ET25. They've been rattle canned silver and it's a bit orange peelly, but they'll definitely do until the tyres need replacing ;-)

I've also treated the rust on the rear arches, popped the bumper back on and fitted a new towbar, but I'll pop up pictures this weekend once I've fitted the wheels

They're not a great deal smaller than the standard overall diameter, but being they're 15s now and not 14s, the smaller tyre profile gives an illusion on them being a lot smaller inside the wheel arches. I mean look!...

    Back...

    Front...

Gonna drop it eventually, but I don't really mind the look as it is The pictures really don't do it justice.

    Re: Nafeman's UKDM '89 EX-2.0i Aerodeck

    Cheers guys

Very happy with them. I'll eventually get them powder-coated (possibly white) when I get new tyres fitted... And they're only 1/2" off 8"

And yeah, I bought my property purely for the amount of space it has The plan from the start has been to build a triple garage with workshop in the garden... But that was 3 years ago and I still haven't finished refurbing the house yet!

    Re: Nafeman's UKDM '89 EX-2.0i Aerodeck

Well it was the dreaded annual check the week before last and I finally got her back thursday just gone. So as you may have concluded, she didn't pass first time

She had an emissions leak from the down pipe. (Yep the downpipe I'd recently fitted) Turns out the recesses for the crush ring gaskets were machined too deep and therefore had no effect. So a new downpipe was fitted. The backbox was about to break away from the exhaust pipe, so I had a new on of those fitted. The distribution on the rear calipers was uneven, so both calipers were stripped down, cleaned and rebuilt. The NS rear sill has started corroding through where an existing plate had been welded, so this was cut out and replaced. I'd obviously re-fitted the OEM wheels, as my deep dishes protruded too far, but one of the tyres failed on thread... So I robbed one from the donor

    And she passed!

The ABS light still comes on, but my mechanic was kind enough to drive the car right up to the test centre's ramp and turn the ignition off each time, so as the tester wasn't able to drive it far enough for the light to come on

So she's back in the drive and was able to give her a bit of attention over the last two days, so I'll pop some pics up as soon as I've finished tinkering and given her a wash

Congrats on passing, might have been easier to just remove the bulb from the ALB light for the inspection. That's how I get mine to pass.

    Cheers bud

You can't get away with that here as the light needs to come on and then go out on start up in order to show the examiner it's working. If it doesn't come on at all on start up then that to is an automatic fail
