Im pretty sure my rear main seal is leaking. What all do I need to do to get to it and do I need to lift the engine to get to it? thanks

its a bit more complicated...you need to remove the transmission and flywheel...make sure to use a honda OEM gasket

    Re: Rear main seal leak

The first thing you need to do is replace the valve cover gasket and see if that fixes the leak. After that, replace the distributor oring. If it still leaks, then replace the rear main. You'll drop the transmission to get to it. Instructions are in sections 14 (MT) and 15 (AT) of this manual. While you have the transmission out, replace the input shaft seal.

    Good luck.
