    weird noise

    Hey I'm sure you've seen me around and I'm curious if anyone can tell me what this is.
    Whenever I hit about 2800-3000 rpm there is a ring very slight ring which only comes on at those rpm. Sounds a lot like something metal vibrating very fast and I can't seem put my finger on where its coming from but to me it seems like its coming from the cabin.

    So anyone have any idea what it could be?

    That's happened to me.

    It was a screw in the ashtray.

    this seems to be most plausible. ill check it out and tighten stuff up.
    its quite but loud enough to hear it. it really does sound like its just vibrating very faint doorbell ringing

    I meant like an actual screw sitting in the ashtray, not a loose one holding it. Check for stuff sitting around.

    Be thankful you don't have a penny in your ventilation system.

    Try checking for a loose heat shield on your exhaust or a rock laying in the lower shields. This is a common problem.

    x2. Look for something simple. I had a buzzing at a certain rpm years ago. It ended up being a loose wingnut on the air cleaner cover.

    yeah its a buzzing type of sound ill keep an eye out

    when i started the car up this morning it went up to 3k to warm up and i started hearing it so went around and look touched things and when i put my ear closer i realized it was my keychain
