    fuel line size?

Does anyone know offhand what size fuel line an 86 carb model has?

I'm installing the 32/36 weber and have already purchased the following...

    -redline kit
    -Adj.FPR
    -fuel pressure gauge
    -fram clearview
    -high-tack gasket sealant
    -assortment of vac plugs

Now I need to get the fittings for the Adj.FPR. One 3/8-1/8 reducer and two 3/8 barbed threads for fuel line, but can't tell by looking if its 1/4 or 3/8.

Just want to prevent a trip to the parts store while doing the swap. Thanks

After some searching I figured out that the line is 8mm.

So, should I be fine with some 5/16 hose, or is this what the 3/8 Mopar heater hose mentioned in Weber threads is for?

Isn't the port on the Weber 3/8?

I'd be surprised if you found metric fuel line anywhere but the dealer. I'd just get the closest standard size and make it work.

    Re: fuel line size?

I know 5/16 is smaller than 8mm so, what would be a better fit, 3/8 or 5/16?

What size fuel line have others used when doing the Weber swap?

As this is my only transportation, I would like to be able to get all of the correct parts I need beforehand. The autozone is 7mi from my place and I'd hate to have to walk there becuase of somthing like fuel line.

5/16" fuel line is a direct replacement for 8mm. It would be a good idea to mock up the entire fuel system to the carb before you actually do the install. And don't forget the little things like hose clamps and such.

The main fuel line is 5/16", but if you want (or need) to keep the evap can, you'll also need a bit of both 1/4" and 3/8".
