    Unhappy 85 Sunroof help

Hey, I just bought an 85 4 dr accord, and it has a spring sticking out on the sunroof. I dont know if its the stock sunroof or not, but it is hanging down coming from the from on the passenger side. The sunroof still opens, I just dont want the wire the get caught in the roof and the sunroof not close or something. I will take a picture of it tomorrow during the day, but I was trying to see if anyone had any ideas?

The SEi is the only 85 Accord that came with a sunroof, so if it's not an SEi, you've got something aftermarket. We will definitely need pics for this one I think.

Thanks, Ya I figured it wasnt oem since its not an se-i, it tries to open and close but it acts like its stuck on something right when it tries to go back. The spring tries to coil or expand so Im guessing it just came undone from something? Also the insurance company said its an lx but I thought the lx had power windows and locks?

Ya I need to wash it, its been sitting out by some trees. It actually was worse cause it was covered in pine needles. I will try messing with it today, but the spring moves when I try to open or close it and it has grease on it so I think its supposed to be there.

    Re: 85 Sunroof help

It seems like maybe it's a return spring that should ride up the side track and attach to the structure on the glass somehow to help it return. I bet there's one on the other side that you could look at to see how it's hooked up...
