Hey, all you who have a tint on your car....does it keep your car relatively cool in the summer time?
Hey, all you who have a tint on your car....does it keep your car relatively cool in the summer time?
it depends on the percentage of the tint. i have 5% it cools the car kinda. when i let the windows down, the sun blazes on my skin. not a big significant differnece. it also depends on your state laws. can you tint your front windows? that matters alot too.
Yes and ventvisors help also.
Yeah, i've been looking for some of those....I cant seem to find any though
Hell Yes! Tint it! I have 20% all the way around and it looks perfect.

I just got my car tinted and i noticed a big difference, its alot cooler inside now, depends how dark ya go!![]()
Depends on the tint you use. My friend owns a tint shop and they have standard stuff that's about $125 US for all 7 windows (for our sedans) while the expensive stuff is over $500 for all 7 (clear ones that block out heat and UV VERY efficiently and helps make the glass harder to break). Most tint also block out UV rays so that's good for your skin and for your dashboards.

Tint will help to a certain extent. No matter how dark you go, on a hot sunny day, the inside of your car is going to heat up if it sits in the sun for long periods of time. You might be able to keep the sun out but you can't keep air temp out unless you have a totally air sealed car which I doubt anyone has. If for a short time, then yeah, it will decrease the rate in which the interior will heat up. Tint is most effective in my opinion, when driving with the AC on. With tint, your cabin will stay cooler without having to turn the AC very high since you are blocking the sun from penetrating and warming up the cabin.
Appearance wise, tint is a must. It makes the car look lower and sportier.
Hope this help?
Peace out

The darker, the better it does for hot weather and sun. To really keep it out, get a front tint strip along with a vinyl, works as a great shield in the front. I have 15% on my TL and 20% on my accord, both real dark. So get dark as you can. Also adds cool look to your car.
tru, tru......but i gots no a/c....do you think it would help still?Or do all of you have a/c and it helps...?
let's keep it simple: YES, tint helps alot!

Yup, 7 windows. two front sides, two rear sides, the two small triangles in the rear sides, and the rear itself.
