    Rough, sputtering idle, CARB

    Hello,
On my 89' Accord A20a1 CARB, at the idle resting position, the idle is very rough and sputters. Also, a new recent problem I'm having is when I rev up the engine and then let it drop so it goes to the idle position, the engine will instead drop to 500RPM and below, almost stalling, but after a few seconds it picks itself back up. And it happens when I'm coming to a stop, as like a stop light or something. After the car COMPLETELY warms up, after like 10 minutes of constant driving, it stops doing it.
    -Thanks for the help!

    -Things I've tried so far:
    Carb cleaner
    Vacuum leaks
    All spark plugs replaced
    Spark plug wires are good
    Air filter good
And I think that's it for now.

Could be a lot of things. Start with a bottle of injector cleaner and see what happens. Also check for vacuum leaks. If you come up with nothing, post again and we'll keep going.

Good ol' fashion spray bottle lol. Sprayed the hoses with water as the car was running lol. But what would you recommend?

Use starting fluid/carb cleaner to check for vac leaks.

What am I looking for as I spray the hoses? The idle to raise and drop?

Great, I'll pick up a can of carb cleaner tomorrow and I'll post back with the results. Any particular spots I should spray? Perhaps there was a popular spot that leaks?
    -Thanks

Spray anywhere there might be a leak. Vacuum lines, dash pots, carb gaskets, PCV valve, vacuum actuators, etc, etc.

    Re: Rough, sputtering idle, CARB

-Sorry for the delay, website was down and it was raining for a couple days.
But anyways, nope no vacuum leaks.
This motor has been running like crap lately. Yesterday I was driving it all day and towards the middle and end of the day, the idle would bounce up and down, to about 1200 back to 800. But it was enough to rock the car when holding the brakes (meaning I had to put the brake to the floor to keep the car from crawling forward). Also a total loss of acceleration it felt like, up until about 4000-5000RPM's.
    -Thanks

    x2

You could rebuild, but Weber swap is a better option.
