    Unhappy Trunk Latch

    Im needing to know where i can buy a trunk latch for my 89 accord lxi 2 door... Any ideas at all cause i called honda and they said its a discontinued product... I have tried all of the scrap yards around and they have none at all... where is the best place to by a oem trunk latch online???

    well for the past 6 months i have had to slam my trunk lid any where from 2 to a dozen times to it to latch. but now its just scraped wont close worth a damn i got it tied down it some wiring from my old fog lights lol... its just all bent and cobbled up...

    man i have tried pb blaster aka squirrel piss motor oil anything and everything possible i think ill just spend the 20 bucks and buy that off ebay....

    yeah thats prolly ur best bet
    i looked on rockauto and couldnt find it.
    so i would just keep ur fingers crossed and hope this one works other wise its speaker wire tie down lol

    its goes by how many posts u have
    dx is under 100
    lx 100-500
    lxi 500-1000 or something like and then theres 2.0si and veteran only people who have veteran is the post whores lolol

    man that rockauto site is awsome i just ordered a window reg for my wifes car and it was dirt cheap not counting all the other parts i just ordered for my car lol...

    You need to adjust the latch (rather, the hook it grabs onto on the bottom). Problem solved. I had the same issue when I removed my hook to clean the corrosion off of it. I didn't put it back exactly where it originally was, so it wouldn't shut correctly.

    There rubber stops that screw in/out that adjust how far the hatch comes down. Its unusual but its a Honda thing.
