    german 89 sedan

    hello 3geezers,

    after studing lots of threats here, itīs time to introduce me and my 89 Sedan EXi Special Edition to the forum.
    Bought it in march 2010.

    The "Special Edition" sold in germany came with the following specialties:

    painted rearviewmirrors, painted doorhandles, rearlip on trunk, wheels in dimension 195/60 R14, leather-steeringwheel and sporty wheelcovers

    It was only availlable in red, black & white.

    I got the shitty red one.
    Some parts of the hood are already faded by sun.

    itīs just the 12V with cat.
    grill is the plastic-chrome one.

    I donīt know if thereīs any 16V left here in germany.
    Think they all went to africa.

    No, the 16V was a rare option, for its extra cost at that time and only 14hp gain, many bout the 12V. However the JDM version got 160hp with electronic ignition.

    the sedan will go low.
    hope to get it done this weekend.

    the deck is currently residing in a barn.
    it needs some attention on outer axle joints, the leaky head and valve cover, etc.

    gave it to a friend in exchange for some repair jobs...
    but some day itīll be on the road again.

    but since i got the sedan i donīt want it back
    itīs a reliable and comfortable daily driver in an acceptable condition.

    it is, they are robust cars. mine starts and goes when ever I ask it to. beem driving it for 40k km last year with only oil chances and basic maintainance. The most reliable car I ever had, besides 190e MB, a panzer.
